~ Barty's convenient sense of memory and his rather non-existent attention span are something of a blessing when it comes to living with an Inferius. Most people, when confronted with a zombie of highly unstable sentience who could, arguably, at any moment, want to rend you limb from limb, well they would make the wise decision not to sleep at night. Ever. Or would find some means of barricading the door to the nines before they did. Barty, however, can somehow manage to neglect all of Reg's past, split-second transgressions and depending on his own unstable sentience, slip into a deep sleep with no anxiety at all. This is one of those nights, and Barty is curled under the covers, contended, comfortable and completely helpless. ~

Before I was just throwing around the idea of going back to school just cos I was kinna bored and unsatisfyed with my art and the fact that I was becoming "complacent", but I think I really am going to go back to school now. cambryn and her friend Matt took me to Gemini School of Art and man, it is perfect. We did a little portfolio review with the owners and just talked with them for a couple hours and it was really inspiring, I feel like if I did do the course there, all the missing pieces would be filled in, and I could get a job anywhere. Anyway, dunno how I could pay for it but I'm just excited, I hope I can figure out a way to get in.

It has been brought to my attention that members are becoming frustrated with the size and number of thumbnails appearing on some posts. Some say it slows load time, others don't want their friends page eaten, and some just want posts to look a bit more tidy. To resolve the issues I'm going to start enforcing a simple thumbnail rule from this post on.


Thumbnail/Preview Image Rule
1. Thumbnail images are to be no larger than 300px wide and 200px tall (Do not "resize" an 800x600 image using html, make an actual thumbnail image please!)

2. A maximum of two thumbnail images are permitted above an lj cut.


Previous posts do not have to be updated with new images, unless you really want to. Also this rule does apply to all posts whether it's layouts, twitter backgrounds, profile codes, or resources. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and as always if you have any compliments or complaints send them to me via PM. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

This is my first post. I'd thought I'd got rid of this story in its entirety (it's all at scenes_of_lives) but apparently not. Anyway, I'd noticed mid-October that I was almost at the one year mark, but, well, I then evidently forgot. Happy Birthday, my lj. Here, have a cake icon. *pets lj*

This has been ever so much more successful than either of my earlier attempts, bheglu and toujourspur1 . I started posting on lj because, well, something rather stupidly nasty had just happened to me, and my blog on Blogger felt like too much of a fishbowl. The people reading my posts were my friends (I use the term in its looest possible sense) from uni, and, well, I have privacy issues. This is the last entry there, everything even remotely personal on that blog has been stripped off; I was really really murderously angry at the point.

Anyhow, let's not rehash all that rubbish. My point is, this has been a great ride, y'all. You have all been brilliant, and twistedly evil, and I'm having a hell lotta fun. I've made some grand friends, found a lot of people to fangirl (the overlap is significant), and the best reading-material a girl could ask for.

A special note of thanks to allinplaid, which resurrected my love of Potter when I'd thought it dead and buried, and maryrenaultfics, which gave my Alexander-fannishness sanctuary from the (often atrocious) movie-verse stories on ff.net. If I'm less active now than I have been at times, (and I am), I apologise to all of you, and I hope to be able to participate more fully come January.

That's about it, for now. Thank you. You girls have been great.

So, because I am clearly insane, I was wondering, I really like the thing noneedofcrepe does, of sending out cards, but I really cannot draw at all. But I can (mostly) write.

So, I could write out, in longhand (my handwriting is legible, promise) a drabble (100-200 words) of your choosing, and mail you them. If anyone wants one?
